L.A. Dance Connection Show Team is amazing at Nationals!!!
The L. A. Dance Connection Show Team just returned from "Nationals at Sea" with Celebrity Dance Competitions and did an amazing job representing Whittier, California. The team had a fun filled week of dance classes, competitions and party events every day. The team scored many Platnums with their cutting edge routines. Our trio dance routine "Blue" received 3rd Overall for Teen category and our trio dance routine "I'll Be There For You" also received 3rd Overall for Senior category. The teams tap routine "Call The Law" was asked to perform in the Faculty Show our last night at sea for the entire cruise ships guests to watch.
A big highlight of our trip was 6 of our dancers out of 54 that entered the "Star Awards" title competition made it to the final 12. Those dancers who made the final cut were Kayla Brooks, Kristin Burrell, Lauren Charmen, Catri Grisso, Cyla Grisso and Robert Pulido. Two of our dancers placed in the top three...and the awards go to 3rd runner up Kristin Burrell and "2009 Star Awards" Title Winner, Kayla Brooks. Kayla was also awarded during the week by Capezio "Most Inspirational Dancer". Robert Pulido and Kristin Burrell were also awarded in class with achievement awards by teacher/choreographer Todd Shanks. We are so proud of our dancers and what they have achieved on this incredible voyage of a season.
